About the partner organization
Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM)
Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) formerly known as Universiti Pertanian Malaysia was founded in 1971 through the merger of Faculty of Agriculture, Universiti Malaya and Agriculture College in Serdang, Selangor. The envoys will be selected in four stages. In the first stage, students need to complete and submit an application form and the required essay. In the second stage, the short-listed candidates will be selected to appear before a judging panel, from which 10-12 students will be selected and conferred the title of Bayer Young Environmental Envoy. The environmental envoys will be asked to attend the BYEE Eco-Camp in June this year. As the third stage of selection, the Eco-Camp will be a platform for them to have in-depth discussions about sustainable development issues with environmental experts. At end of the Eco-Camp and in the final stage, all finalists will be asked to make a presentation before a panel of judges using the knowledge they have gained from the Eco-Camp.
