Bayer Young Environmental Envoy, Thailand
We can help create a better world.
The "Bayer Young Environmental Envoy" program was initiated as a local project in Thailand in 1998 with the aim at enhancing the role of young people in environmental protection as well as providing them with an opportunity to learn the inter-relationship between environment and development from both a national and international perspective.
In partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Bayer is strongly determined to provide young people from 17 countries around the world with cutting-edge knowledge on environmental management. The one-week educational trip program is specially designed to enrich the young people' experience and broaden the vision of the envoys by giving them the chance to observe environmental protection policy and state-of-the-art technologies at a world-leading company like Bayer. At the same time, they also have an opportunity to experience the German state's standards and monitoring of environmental management and policy, which will enable the envoys to broaden their perception and bring back informative ideas to their country. Their experiences and efforts are precious treasures that can help promote environmental awareness among Thai people and their respective communities.
Under the selection process, the fifty eligible Thai entrants who pass the first round are appointed Bayer Young Environmental Envoys, with the best five envoys having an opportunity to participate in an educational trip to Germany from November 2-7, 2008.

Eligibility for entry
- Thai youngsters between 15 and 25 years old (at the closing date of July 31, 2008)
- High-school student, undergraduate or equivalent
- Keen interest and background in environmental activities
- Strong leadership, assertiveness and ability to carry out the role of “Bayer Young Environmental Envoy” with the aim of sharing knowledge and experience with others
- Fluency in spoken and written English
How to apply
- Complete the application form.
- Submit the following documents together with the application form: Copy of Identification Card/or Student Card Copy of transcript for educational year 2007 Two photos (1x1 inches)
- Attach the proposal of environmental project
- Download application form
